My name is Megan Gallagher, or Miss. G. I am the lead teacher in our Autistic Support Classroom.
I have been teaching Special Education for 4 years. I love it and can't imagine doing anything else!
Our Level 2 Autistic Support Classroom
is design for 2:1 instruction
students each have their own individualized daily picture schedule
many of our students start by attending Morning Meeting in their grade level inclusion classroom
individualized curriculum programming
students rotate between the centers below
Language Arts, Writing, Game, Math, and Sensory centers daily. On
Wednesdays and Fridays Computer/Ipad center replaces Game.
We also have a time of exercise and
Also breaks are built into our schedule for the benefit of the students.
Students are pulled out for Speech and Occupational Therapy as required in their IEPs.
We have three instructional assistants who help with instruction and take the students to inclusion:
